As a senior photographer, I wait all year long for Spring. Spring senior photos are always a hit because San Diego locations are magical. Flowers bloom and that tall green grass grows. It’s the perfect time for photo sessions. The wildflowers and green locations only last for a couple of months so I always try to squeeze in as many blooming photo sessions as I can.

I photographed my friend (and cousin), Maddy, at a couple of my favorite neighborhood spots. I love finding locations that aren’t swarming with other photographers and the best part was, I didn’t have to look very far. I found all of these locations in my own neighborhood.

If you’re a newer photographer, I encourage you, take the time to scout your own locations. It’s easy to shoot at all of the popular spots, I do that too, but it’s way more fun to find your own special locations. It will make your photos stand out and give you a creativity boost! The location doesn’t have to be extravagant. The locations below were all relatively small areas but had pretty blooms and even prettier light.
