I am so excited to share these Solana Beach family photos. I’ve got to tell ya, over the last year I have become quite OBSESSED with beach photos sessions. Maybe it’s the fact that I live 400 steps from the beach… It’s definitely because I love the gorgeous warm light at the beach! The light can be quite harsh and difficult for photographers but I have come to embrace it. I love everything about beach sessions. They are never perfect but that is what makes them so beautiful! This day was especially perfect. The tide was extremely low and we had scattered clouds with hardly any wind. It was seriously perfect and we were able to take some gorgeous sunset photos with the sky reflecting on the sand! I mean, see for yourself!

The Bell family was quite the dream to photograph. They showed up ready to have fun and just enjoy each other’s company. Natalie and John were happy to let the kids run and play on the beach. I made sure to get a couple “classic” smiling family photos at the beginning. After that, we let kids play and we were able to capture some gorgeous family photos. When photographing littles, it’s important to let them be little! I love the genuine smiles and laughter that come with candid photos.
