Back in July some of our favorite friends came to visit us. We spent the weekend camping in the mountains, cracking jokes, and exploring bat caves. Montana wanted to do a photo session for their anniversary and I knew exactly where I wanted to take them. Artist Point has become mine and Brayden’s favorite place around Bellingham and it’s pretty much our default when we want to explore somewhere beautiful not too far from Bellingham. For a couple weeks Jordan had been scheming with us about how he was going to propose while he and Montana were visiting. We decided the best option would be during their anniversary photo session. At the beginning of the shoot I was taking some single shots of Montana. Jordan sneakily got down on his knee behind her and pretended to tie his shoe. He then called her name and she turned around to see him on his knee with a ring box. She was completely surprised and of course said yes! I have photographed Montana and Jordan for their anniversaries for the past couple of years. It was so special to capture Jordan’s proposal. We spent the rest of the day exploring Artist Point and taking some fun celebratory photos. The views were breathtaking and the excitement was real. It truly was a perfect day!
